Samsung Smartwatch

On an FCC listing website, a wrist-device by Samsung has been spotted, its label documents indicated that this device might be the Samsung Gear Sport, not confirming that it is a smartwatch or a fitness band. This device bears a model number SM-R600 under FCC ID A3LSMR600.

There are assumptions in some previous report that it would be a smartwatch with support for Bluetooth. The disclosed diagram also supports the assumptions that is would be a smart watch. FCC ID and Made in Vietnam is written in the lower semicircular area of the device as shown in the diagram and in the top part of the back panel of the watch mentions Samsung Gear Sport.

Samsung has not disclosed any details about this device yet, but some reports say that the device may be identified as ‘Wrist Device’ under the FCC filing. The device may be launched at the Samsung Unpack event just after the launch of the core device- the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, later this month. There is no detail feature available for the device, but it could be a response from Samsung to Apple Watch Nike+ edition focussed on sports.

For Samsung, it may be the high time they launched their smart watch as they launched the Gera S3 smartwatch during IFA 2016 around this time- the smartwatch with a 1.3-inch Super AMOLED display features Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC.
